CEMAFROID authorised centre

Sanitary and technical compliance

Each vehicle intended to transport perishable goods under controlled temperature must be accompanied by a document called the ATP technical compliance certificate.
This document must be presented at any time, for example during a roadside inspection.
This document is valid for a period of 6 years from the manufacture of your vehicle.

Before the end of the validity period, a test must be carried out in an approved test centre.
If successful, this test allows the validity to be extended for an additional 3 years.
AUBINEAU Constructeur operates an authorised centre in La Petite-Boissière (79) France, to perform these tests and issue CEMAFROID approval.

Pre-inspection

Your vehicle must be in impeccable maintenance condition.

For information, here are some reasons why a technical inspection may be declared unfavourable:

Poor refrigeration unit performance due to:

  • premature wear or poor maintenance
  • lack of refrigerant gas
  • etc.

Insulated body in poor condition and reduced insulation coefficient due to:

  • presence of moisture in the side panels
  • torn door seal
  • poor condition of the rear door surfaces
  • poorly carried out repair
  • etc.

Our network technicians are available to assess the condition of your vehicle.
They will provide a free quotation for the necessary repairs, allowing you to approach this mandatory stage in your vehicle’s life with peace of mind.

Inspections

6 years: Sanitary + technical inspection

At the end of the 6th year, a technical inspection is mandatory. If successful, it allows the ATP certificate to be extended for 3 years.

9 years: Sanitary + technical inspection

Another inspection is carried out during the 9th year and may allow the certificate to be extended for a further 3 years.

12 years: Certificate renewal

At 12 years, renewal of the ATP technical compliance certificate is conditional upon passing the vehicle through a CEMAFROID test station, failing which the ATP certificate is withdrawn.

This test checks whether the vehicle can cool down sufficiently quickly to its class temperature or maintain this temperature for a predefined period.
As a result, Class C vehicles (-20 °C) that were previously systematically downgraded may now, if they demonstrate compliance, retain their certificate for an additional 6 years.
